Uterine cervical cancer (UCC) remains the 4th most common cancer in women worldwide, in 2020 corresponding to 6,5% of 9.2 million cancer patients, responsible for 7,7% of 4.4 million deaths [1]. UCC is the leading cause of cancer related death in 36 developing countries. In 2019, there were 568 new UCC patients in Sweden, about 1,5% of all cancer in women, and in the last decade approximately 140 deaths yearly [2].
