Association of sarcopenia assessed by CT/MRI with treatment response and clinical outcomes in noncirrhotic primary biliary cholangitis patients

Research on sarcopenia in patients with noncirrhotic primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) is limited. Our study revealed that sarcopenia was highly prevalent in patients with noncirrhotic PBC. Additionally, concomitant sarcopenia may adversely affect the biochemical response to UDCA treatment and the occurrence of liver-related adverse events in PBC patients without cirrhosis.
